前の曲で威勢よくこの世界から去っていたのに、やっぱり「ねえ、きみ」と寂しそうに呼びかけています。「ザ・ウォール」の世界の沈鬱な未来を予測させます。
最後の「ともに立ち上がっても、死ぬときは孤独だ」という部分に、当時の私は革命幻想や実存主義を読み取っていました。いまで言う中二病ですね。
